St. Mary's offers a varieties of opportunites for adults to grow and live out their faith. 

• Adult Education and Bible Studies

The Alpha Course -- a great place to learn the basics of the Christian Faith. Alpha at St. Mary's is currently on hiatus...but it will return!

E-100 -- The 100 Essential Scripture passages are discussed during the 9:00 Adult Education Hour prior to worship services on Sunday mornings.

Bible Studies for Men and Women -- various Bible studies take place during the year designed to deepen our knowledge and understanding of God's Word.

Men of Integrity -- A Bible study and fellowship group for men, meeting at 9am on the first Sunday of each month.

• Daughters of the King (DOK)

The Order of the Daughters of the King (DOK) is a spiritual sisterhood of women dedicated to a life of Prayer, Service and Evangelism. We have made a commitment to Jesus as our Savior, and we follow Him as Lord of our lives. We are an Order for women who are communicants of the Episcopal Church, churches in communion with it, or churches in the Historic Episcopate. 

The DOK typically meet the first Sunday of each month at 9am.

• Episcopal Church Women (ECW)

Every woman member of St. Mary's automatically belongs to the ECW. The ECW plays an important role in the life the Church. St. Mary's ECW helps plan and organize our Christmas and Summer Bazaars, our Chicken and Biscuits dinner, and other fundraising and service events during the year.

The ECW meets in the Parish Hall at 10AM on the second Monday of every month.

• Altar Guild

The St. Mary's Altar guild assists the rector by taking care of the set up and take down of the altar, and making sure the sacramental functions of the church are supported. This is an important ministry of the women of the church. For more information, contact one of the heads of our Altar Guild, Shirley Walker and Sandy Williams, by sending an email here.

• Welcoming Ministry

Welcoming visitors and newcomers to St. Mary's is a vital component of our outreach. Our Welcoming ministry includes greeting people when they arrive at Church, visiting newcomers after the service, praying for newcomers and more.

• Lay Readers

             If you have a good voice and the courage to stand up in front of the congregation, then becoming a Lay Reader
             may be for you! Lay Readers help during the Sunday service by reading the Scriptures as assigned for the day.

• Lay Eucharistic Ministers (LEM's)

             LEM's visit St. Mary's homebound parishioners and bring them Communion (pre-blessed). They also may serve
             as chalice bearers during services. A license from the Diocese is required (Mother Sue will help with this).

• Canning Group

            Our canning group began in the summer of 2008 and has met periodically. The goal of the group is to raise
            money through the sale of the canned goods for the support of St. Mary's and other area ministries, including the
            Serendipity Food Pantry. Contact: Marika Jones

• Volunteer Opportunities

            There are many opportunities to volunteer at St. Mary's. These include:
